History D-Scribed
“I’m fascinated by design & the research involved to come up with the reason things are the way they are - across the board from nature, fashion, software, websites, and graphics, to photography, interiors, landscapes, proportions, architecture, and even gastronomy, marketing, and branding. ”
Business Analysis & Design
Lara thoroughly enjoys content development, and pushing the boundaries of design & colour. This lends itself brilliantly to business analysis, and being involved in the research, scoping, design and refinement of software and interfaces.
TECHNICAL WRITING, COORDINATION & DISCOVERY
Lara's been a technical writer focused on information & content design, for many years. She particularly focuses on d-scribing things in a clear, concise, and colourful way!
In 2009, technical writing & project coordination beckoned. Since then Lara's delivered projects in both the public and private sectors. The Wellington regions district health boards became her focus for a few years. Fundamentally, she was the technical writer, but she was also across business analyst, team leadership (leading both the discovery engineers and the testing team) and project managing.
SPECIALIST RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY
Lara moved to New Zealand from Australia, which opened up the door on IT recruitment consultancy. This enhanced her eagle eye for detail (CVs and documentation). It also gave her an appreciation and understanding of the corporate world and New Zealand's IT industry.
ANALYSIS & COORDINATION
After relocating to Australia, in 2005, Lara's focus shifted from the fashion industry and the world of celebrity. She began to realise her skills lent themselves really well to account management, analytical and coordination roles. Lara continued to be as creative as she could. Her undivided attention to deliverables, perfection, design and style never faltered.
FASHION, STYLING & COORDINATION
Conde Nast Zao and the fashion industry in Moscow, Russia, began her career and appreciation for all things beautiful and of the highest quality.
After leaving Russia, she then moved to freelance fashion styling and coordination for EMAP Publishing in London, UK.
“I find happiness in what’s around me. I love people watching, but on a much broader scale! I take in all the colours, spaces, textures, sounds, smells, values and atmosphere around me. I find this sometimes shapes & influences me.”
